Capita enhances Atlas Master Trust with Paul Trickett appointment

Gary Smith, 11 May 2017

Capita’s Atlas Master Trust has appointed three new senior leaders to further strengthen the offering in the light of increased demand.

Paul Trickett has been appointed as the independent chair of the Investment Sub Committee of the Atlas Master Trust. In his new role Paul will lead the Sub Committee to enhance the delivery of the Trustee’s investment strategy.

His expertise and immense industry experience comes from several previous high profile and senior roles at Goldman Sachs and Towers Watson, plus his portfolio of consultancy and executive and non-executive director roles, including directorships at Aviva Life and Railpen Investments.

Of the appointment, Atlas Master Trust chair, Alan Whalley said: “We are delighted that Paul has agreed to chair Atlas’ Investment Sub Committee. This is a significant role as DC investment is both challenging and dynamic. We are confident that Paul’s highly regarded investment credentials will help us continue to deliver quality investment solutions for our members.”

Greg Mills has joined as head of engagement and will be responsible for enhancing end-to-end online and off-line journeys to ensure members derive the best possible value and outcome from their Atlas membership. Greg joins from Legal & General where his roles included client marketing, employee engagement and e-strategy.

John Harris joins Atlas from Now Pensions where he was business development director. As Atlas’ business development manager John will focus on growing sales and employer participation in Atlas, working with employers, benefit consultants and advisers to both strengthen existing relationships and to build new ones.

Gary Smith, Head of DC at Capita Employee Benefits, said: “Each of these appointments enhances the Atlas proposition, and I am personally and professionally delighted to welcome each of them on board and to work with them for many years to come. The quality of people supporting Atlas, from the independent trustees down, is testimony to Capita’s long-term financial commitment to Atlas and to our ambitions for Atlas to become the Master Trust of choice.”
