Health Management launches digital healthcare service

07 May 2015

Yesterday, Capita Employee Benefits unveiled its new digital healthcare service for employee health strategies at their Employee Benefits & Reward Client Conference. Since launching its health and wellbeing proposition, Assure, at the start of the year, Capita has been developing a product that addresses the growing demand for digitised health solutions.

Many patients face problems getting advice and treatment in a timely fashion and for a culture that craves immediate responses, this is becoming a growing frustration. The digitisation of healthcare is bridging the expectation gap with a number of apps available to enable employees to book private healthcare appointments, have a virtual GP consultation, and check symptoms all from a smartphone or tablet.

Alistair Dornan, head of health management, commented “Technological and digital innovations, accelerated by smart phones and tablets, have enabled new entrants to rapidly transform how traditional healthcare services are developed, delivered and consumed. As employers, these innovations have opened radical routes to influence and manage the care of your people, empowering employee, employer and provider alike to create whole new healthcare eco systems.

We’ve partnered with the likes of Babylon, Grokker and Zesty, all of which are at the forefront of digital healthcare technology.”
