Auto-enrolment is here... start your planning now

There's a lot to do if you want to meet all of your auto-enrolment obligations. We can help you plan the necessary key actions and processes that are required throughout your company's staging date and beyond.

Our range of solutions have been drawn from our experience in supporting over 200 clients through their employer duties projects.

When do I stage?

The date when the law is ‘switched on’ for your organisation is known as your ‘staging date’. This is the same as your employer duty date and is the date on which the employer duties first apply to you, the employer. This is defined in legislation through the Employer Duties (Implementation) Regulations 2010. It is essential you know when your employer duties will affect your organisation as this will put you in the best position to comply with the new legislation.

Do you have a preferred scheme in place?

If you have a qualifying and preferred scheme in place, then your next stage is to start planning for auto-enrolment. Given the complexity, the associated costs, and meeting the challenges presented by auto-enrolment, there are a number of key decisions to make which can have a knock-on effect for the unprepared.

Auto-enrolment Survival Kit: Everything you need to stay afloat

With this in mind, we’ve created the Auto-enrolment Survival Kit, which draws on our experience in already supporting over 200 clients through their employer duties projects. The kit covers all the legislative requirements, but also translates this into practical actions which you’ll need to take. We can work with you to guide you through your auto-enrolment project with a variety of ready-made solutions, ranging from a helping hand at certain key stages through to working in partnership with one of our experts who can provide extensive consultancy and communication to ensure you get the best possible outcome for your business.

Do you need a new scheme?

Planning for auto-enrolment is a huge challenge for any company, and this is made even trickier if you don’t already have a qualifying Workplace Pension scheme in place. It may be that your company does not currently offer a pension scheme to all employees, or perhaps you just offer a stakeholder scheme and very few employees have ever joined.

The Government has set some strict criteria around what does and doesn’t meet the requirements of a qualifying Workplace Pension scheme. To make matters worse, pension providers have started to get very selective about which companies they want to use the qualifying Workplace Pension schemes that they have on offer.

That’s why we have teamed up with Standard Life to offer a scheme for you to use – this means that not only do you comply with the Government’s requirements, but also that you have a valuable way for your employees to save for their retirement.

We can offer a simple, streamlined solution that will equip you with everything that you need to get your new qualifying Workplace Pension scheme set up, and to help you navigate through the complexities of auto-enrolment. You will get:

  • A qualifying Workplace Pension scheme with a leading provider, or assistance setting up a Primary User account with Nest, depending on what is most suitable for the company.
  • A telephone appointment with a specialist auto-enrolment consultant to talk through the new and how they impact on your company.
  • A tailored report written by your auto-enrolment consultant following the call, summarising the main areas that you had discussed.
  • A copy of our Auto-enrolment Survival Kit – the essential guide to everything you need to know about auto-enrolment. This comes complete with a template project plan, process flows, and a range of employee communications – the legal notifications that you need to send, an ‘FAQs’ booklet, and many more.
